For an outdoor activity for all the family to enjoy visit The Royal Canal Greenway, a long-distance, off-road walking and cycling trail that connects all the way from Maynooth to Longford Town. The 130km trail passes through the lush green landscapes of Ireland’s Ancient East towards the mighty River Shannon in Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands. Sallins is the site of the Bargetrip.ie team, with cruises along Leinster Aquaduct twice a day, and lasting approximately 1 hour, with lots of local history and interesting facts about the Grand Canal from your captain. Sallins is a 7-minute drive from Lawlor's or a 30 minute walk.

Leinster’s largest hedge maze is an exciting attraction located just outside Prosperous in the North Kildare countryside, a 20 minute drive from Lawlor's.
