Experienced Part-Time Hotel Bar Staff required for Lawlor's of Naas. Experience in food service is a necessity.

Please note this position is strictly only open to applicants over 18 years of age due to the service of alcohol.

The right candidate will have:

  • Friendly and outgoing personality.
  • Be available to work weekdays and weekends - day and evening shifts
  • Previous food/bar experience essential.
  • References from previous employers.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a desire to exceed customer expectations is a must.
  • Fluent English essential.
  • The position will require food service.
  • Some knowledge of wines and cocktails desirable (training will be provided)
  • Special consideration will be given to those who wish to advance in the hospitality industry as a career option.

 

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: €12.70-€14.00 per hour

Night Porter (Part-time)

Description

Due to the expansion of our property, Lawlor's of Naas is currently looking to recruit a Part-Time Night Porter to oversee the smooth operation of the hotel. 

 

Role

The Part-Time Night Porter is responsible for the assistance in all operations during overnight shift hours, focusing on Front Office operations, night audit, guest and hotel safety/security ensuring a professional and high-quality service at all times at Lawlor’s of Naas.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for customers, staff and visitors is maintained at all times.
  • Carry out security and health and safety checks of the entire hotel building on a regular basis
  • Receive orders, prepare and service light refreshments to guest’s rooms as required.
  • Carry out required cleaning duties through the night, including public areas, toilets, meeting rooms, food and beverage outlets, and any other areas required.
  • Carry out wake-up calls.
  • Carry out porterage when required
  • Deal with telephone and guest enquiries.
  • Assist in the restaurant/bar/lounge when required.
  • Set up meeting rooms. 

 

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Porter in a Hotel or other similar experience.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is a must.
  • Bar experience would be beneficial

Chef de Partie - Carvery (Part-Time)

Description:

We are so excited to be expanding our team here at Lawlor's of Naas, to assist with and be a part of the daily life of the hotel. We are currently recruiting for a Part-Time Chef de Partie for our Carvery to join our team. This will be a busy role - excellent organisational skills, ability to work in a busy environment and lead a team effectively if required are essential qualities. 

 

Role

  • To manage your section within the kitchen
  • To ensure that the dishes are prepared and cooked according to the specific standards set out by the Executive Head Chef.
  • To manage the development and supervision of the junior chefs, ensuring they are fully trained and understand their duties.
  • To ensure that stock is rotated and controlled within the specific section of the kitchen.
  • To ensure that the cleaning schedule is adhered to and that cleaning tasks are delegated as appropriate.
  • To maintain a detailed knowledge of the full menu and be able to explain dish descriptions.
  • To ensure compliance with legal requirements under the Safety, Health and Welfare Act 2005 and Food Hygiene (HACCP).
  • To ensure all policies, procedures, standards and guidelines are carefully adhered to.

 

Requirements:

  • Suitable experience in a 4 or 5 star establishment or similar property.
  • To have a strong working knowledge of HACCP.
  • Excellent use and understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • To communicate clearly, professionally and concisely.
