Sustainability Management Plan
Timescale: This plan spans from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2029 and will be reviewed and updated annually to reflect our progress and new initiatives.
Our Commitment:
We are dedicated to operating our business as sustainably as possible. Recognising the need for external expertise, we have partnered with the Green Hospitality Award for guidance. This certification programme supports multiple UN Sustainable Development Goals, the Circular Economy, and Climate Change initiatives, aligning with the EU Ecolabel and the Global Sustainable Tourism Council Criteria. It also supports the All Island Sustainable Tourism Assurance programme, ensuring we meet both national and international objectives, satisfying our stakeholders – customers, employees, the local community, regulatory authorities, and financial supporters – while reducing emissions and enhancing efficiency.
Our Vision:
We aim to continually improve our performance annually while maintaining financial sustainability. Initially, we will implement the standards required for the Green Hospitality Eco-Label Award, which will serve as a solid foundation. We will then build on these standards to fully integrate sustainability into our business.
Our Sustainability Focus:
We will develop and implement the following plans:
We understand that implementing all sustainability actions takes time, so our priority will be the most impactful ones, gradually working towards others.
Green Memberships
Our Green Purchasing Policy will ensure that products and services purchased or contracted are aligned with our Sustainability Policy. While we don't currently have EV Charging on-site, there are several options within close proximity of the hotel.
